Artist's Comments

I was out in spain when i saw this boulevard near where we were staying and thought it'd make a neat pic on its own - it was my gf who saw the moon above it and told me how it would offset the image really well and then i thought about this 'real' contest and decided to get this image - i hoped it would work on the conceptual level

It actually took 3 nights to get the image because it was cloudy on some night and i had to do some guesswork in my head to predict what time the moon would be in this position - i guess i was lucky in the end

its not hard to work out what it's saying, technically im not sure wether the overexposing works for it or not, on one hand its a pity to lose the details of the moon but on teh other it makes it look like the rest of the globes, perhaps enhancing the main drive of the image

Anyways hope you enjoy it

I really like this picture, I think the overexposure does add to the picture and its overall symmetry. +Fav.

Sweet picture :)

About the overexposed moon, if you have another picture where it's not overexposed, but the rest of the picture is much darker, then why not combine the pictures? Cut out the not-overexposed moon and put it in the overexposed picture...?

thanks for your comments

although a detaily moon would be nice i wonder if it would detract from the similarities with the globes and also while a lil manip is allowed for the contest the moon is a focal point for the image and i think maniping it would be seen as overdoing it somewhat
