i spent ages trying to get these shots, with no AF or metering with the lens it was a pain in the arse cos bless Mina (the star of this shot) shes a very young and squirmy rat
I held her for 2 of the shots (much to her disgust) and got lucky for the middle one as she stopped to preen I mean this took me 20-30 minutes, i cant even begin to image the pain of being a proper animal photographer I love rats so much it hurts, and Mina here is a beauty of her kind, sweet.. loyal.. polite and still having a strong indominable spirit she's a credit to rats everywhere, also she has the softest fur you could ever imagine feeling Oh yeah i bumped up teh contrast in ps to stupid levels cos the pics looked a lil washed out |

you should consider what the image would look like afterwards when you're photographing though. your hand being there kinda makes you wonder if you really intended to shoot this professionally or not. same with the toilet shot with the horrifying stain. im gonna play around with that when i get time.
but i really love that middle one. very well done. i know how hard it is to do the close up since i've never succeeded
good contrast. and again, your eye of capturing something unusual is amazing.
im glad you're having fun with your new lens.

yeah it a pity my hand is in shot tho it was the only way i could get the lil bugger to stay still (still-ISH she was still squiming all over the place)
